Eduardo Toledo Santos

Short Bio:

Dr. Eduardo T. Santos has been teaching at the Department of Civil Construction of the Engineering School of the University of São Paulo, Brazil since 1992 where he holds a position as Assistant Professor. He got his Electrical Engineering degree as well as his Master (Digital Systems Engineering) and Doctorate (Electronic Systems Engineering) degrees at the University of São Paulo. He also was a student of the Master in Open and Distance Learning of the Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia, Spain.
He developed research on Computer Graphics and Applied Parallel Processing. His current interests are on Information Technologies for Construction (Virtual Reality, Web-based systems and BIM) and also Educational Technologies and Distance Learning.
He served as executive chairman of international conferences on IT in Construction and on Design Graphics as well as on the Editorial Board of some Brazilian Journals and on the Scientific Committee of many international conferences on those areas.
He teaches undergraduate courses on Engineering Design Graphics and graduate courses on Information Technology for Construction as well as Computer Aided Facilities Management.

He is very active in researching and promoting Engineering Design Graphics and Geometry Education and developed several software for this field. Also, he currently serves as the Vice President for the Americas of the International Society for Geometry and Graphics and as Secretary of the Brazilian Association for Graphics Expression.
