Anis Mohammad Ali Anis Mohammad Ali received his B.Sc. degree in 1975 from University of Basrah, Iraq, his Master of Engineering from University of Sheffield, England in 1980 and his Ph.D. degree from University of Edinburgh, Scotland in 1983. He is a professor of Civil and Structural Engineering at University of Basrah. He is a member of several professional societies including the American Society of Civil Engineers. He has taught a number of courses to undergraduate and graduate students in the field of Structural Design, Bridge Engineering and Offshore Structures. He has mentored and supervised about 35 students pursuing master’s and doctoral degrees. He is a consultant on UN Habitat housing projects. He has been active in providing professional consultations in structural construction and design for more than75 projects during the past 25 years. His research activities include R.C. Structures, Composite Structures and Offshore Structures.
